Overview

ANRT regulation at a glance

The Agence Nationale de Réglementation des Télécommunications (ANRT), based in Rabat, is the official authority governing the telecommunications and wireless sector in Morocco. To ensure safety and compatibility, ANRT mandates a strict type-approval process before any hardware can be legally marketed or used within the kingdom.

The Moroccan framework is heavily aligned with European ETSI and CE standards. Effective January 20, 2025, new regulations introduced updated labeling and Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) disclosure requirements to enhance consumer safety and transparency.
